The collection consists of two documents pertaining to the settlement of coastal Georgia. The crown land grant to Alexander Wylly gives him "two small islands of marsh situate and being in the river Savannah between Onslow Island and Argyle Island in the parish of Christ Church." It is signed by James Wright as governor, Charles Watson as secretary, and Henry Yonge as surveyor general; the document includes the plat drawn by deputy surveyor B. Romant, and is dated 1 December 1767. The second document is a loyal indenture on transfer of land between Richard and Mary Wylly and Basil Cowper of Savannah. This piece, legible but quite fragile, is dated 23 June 1775.

This collection contains a variety of 19th Century materials including land documents, a hand drawn map of Norfolk, Virginia, a wedding invitation, and a Civil War era pass.

Consists of a 1714 indenture made between Nathaniel and Mary Childs of Philadelphia, Albertus and Elizabeth Hendricks of Penns Neck, New Jersey, and Jacob Roman of Chester, Pennsylvania. The document states that Roman paid the sum of thirty pounds and is therefore acquitted and discharged forever. A typed transcription of the deed is also included.

The collection consists of papers relating to Robert E. Lee and the Lee family from 1838-1872. The bulk of the collection (1861-1864) contains correspondence from Lee regarding military activities of the Confederate Army during the Civil War. The letters discuss troop movements; supplies for troops; battle strategies for Elk Mountain, the Huntersville campaign, Cheat Mountain (W. Va.), and Dalton (Ga.); an exchange of prisoners (1862); casualty estimates at the battle of Fredericksburg; and reinforcement needs. Correspondees include Joseph E. Brown, Howell Cobb, and Henry Rootes Jackson. The collection also includes handwritten copies of 18th century land grants and indentures of John Parke Custis and a letter of Mary Custis Lee dated January 1872, Arlington (Va.) pertaining to proof of purchase of Arlington and the validity of her title to the property.

The collection consists of two indentures from Johnson County, Georgia, dating from 1863 and 1868. These indentures document land purchases involving J. R. G. Underwood, James P. Jordan, and James A. Davis.

The collection consists of two indentures: dated October 2, 1788, concerning the last will and testament of Elizabeth Oglethorpe of Cranham Hall, widow of General James Edward Oglethorpe, executors including William Gill, Granville Sharp, Eugene, Marquis de Bellegarde of Piccadilly, Christopher Hodges and James Winbolt; dated December 22, 1790, concerning a loan made by William Gill of Surrey and Granville Sharp of London, to Christopher Hodges of South Hampton.

The collection consists of two indentures signed and sealed in Wilkinson County, Georgia: entered December 21, 1832, between Simeon Adams and William Cooper, for land located in Cherokee County, Georgia; entered September 29, 1834, between William Cooper and William Pond, for land located in Walker County, Georgia.
