The collection consists of an album containing letters, press releases, clippings, photographs related to the criminal trials held in Tokyo, Japan after World War II. Also included is a copy of the indictment. The clippings concern the proceedings of the trials and some are in Japanese. The photographs are of Darsey and there are official shots of courtroom scenes, including shots of the defendants.

The collection consists of five photo albums that include mostly unidentified photographs of the Lipscomb, Rutherford, and Hutchins families. These albums are from the estate of Laura Hutchins Paddock ("Aunt Lollipop"). Before her marriage, her name was Laura Cobb Hutchins. Her mother was Laura Williams Rutherford, and her father was Joshua Cornelius Hutchins. The Rutherford, Lipscomb, and Hutchins families were closely related and very friendly with each other.

The collection consists of papers of Herschel Vespasian Johnson and his family from 1832-1976. Papers include a copy of Johnson's autobiography, an album containing poetry, writings, and drawings, a few newspaper clippings, and correspondence. The autobiography, a copy of the original manuscript written by Johnson in 1867, covers Johnson's entire political career. Correspondence is mainly from Johnson to his daughter Tallulah Horne and her husband Pearce, with several to his daughter Gertrude discussing primarily family matters.
