Petition of David Montaigut to Governor and Council requesting reassessment of the situation pertaining to land advertised in the Georgia Gazette as confiscated property "late William Knox's in Chatham County, being an Island in Savannah river" but, according to Montaigut, actually belonging to the estate of John Fitch whose estate holds an indebtedness to Montaigut.
