Letter of J.F. Grimké to Governor John Martin protesting the scheduled sale of Negroes (formerly property of Colin Campbell) at Savannah. The slaves were taken by South Carolina under that state's Confiscation Act and are not the property of Georgia to dispose of. Grimké cautions of possible repercussions which might ensue.
