Note from donor: "Correspondence re Georgia Court of Appeals. Correspondence re 1980 Campaign for US Senate. Correspondence re 1982 Campaign for Governor. This box contains correspondence related to my service on the Georgia Court of Appeals. Copies of court working papers are not included because most of those are retained in the Court's records. Also included are papers related to my candidacy in the Democratic primary for US Senate in 1980 and for Governor in 1982. Also included are a significant number of speeches all of which were written by me. It will be noted that speeches, correspondence and other materials from both the 1980 campaign and the 1982 campaign are somewhat intermingles in these records. This is primarily due to the fact that as a candidate I had a very small staff, and copies of these papers were not always retained in orderly chronological files."
