Scope and content:

Arranged chronologically, these black and white photographs primarily depict the well-traveled Myers in various locations around the world, including Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa, South America, and the Pacific Rim. There are also copies of photographs that appeared in newspapers and popular magazines to accompany articles about Myers and his flight crew. Official government photographs depict Myers, his airplanes, his crew, President Truman, and other high ranking military officials. Myers' home and family life is represented to a lesser extent. This series also contains blueline drawings, color slides, and a schematic (to scale) from the conceptualization stages of the design of the interior of "The Independence."
