Mayoral Career documents Robinson's service as mayor of Macon from 1987 to 1991, including the development of Macon's "War-on-Drugs" program, the Quality Labor Force Council, the Mayor's Housing Council, and determining the city budget. Also included is extensive material documenting his 1987 mayoral campaign and his unsuccessful 1991 re-election campaign.
