Robert Grier Stephens Jr. Papers, Series III: Legislative contains correspondence, bills, news releases, and other printed material pertaining to pending legislation sponsored by Stephens or other congressmen. The files document the three committees on which Stephens served: Banking and Currency (1961-1976), Interior and Insular Affairs (1971-1976), and Select Committee on Committees (1973-1974). There is some overlap with similar topics in the General series. Topics include housing and urban development, export-import bank, Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC), taxation, Small Business Administration (SBA), International Development Association (IDA), and agriculture.
