This subseries is organized into five sections: General; National Democratic Committee; National Democratic Conventions; Association of State Democratic Chairs; and Democratic Policy Committee. There is some overlap between sections and between national and state Democratic Party files. The files include correspondence, committee meetings minutes and agendas, reports, clippings, and publications. Topics include the role of women in the Democratic Party, party platform, delegate selection, party conferences, and national conventions. Maxine Goldstein's participation on the committee for site selection of the 1988 convention produced papers from prospective presidential candidates and from cities wishing to host the convention.
