Scope and content:

This series contains correspondence, press releases, statements at hearings, maps, pamphlets, and other printed materials relating to federal departments and agencies of the executive branch. The nature of the information is constituents seeking help in dealing with an agency or agencies and departments providing congressmen information concerning policies and actions affecting their districts.

Arrangement is chronological in three year groupings: 1963-1968, 1965-1970, and 1970. Within year groups, arrangement is alphabetical by department or agency and thereunder alphabetical by subject. See also Series VI. Additional Materials, Departmental.

Series X. Case Mail is restricted for 75 years from the date of creation. The earliest files will open in January 2041. Series XI. Cross-Reference Copies currently are restricted for preservation purposes.
