This sub-series is arranged chronologically and documents the professional activities of Martin J. Hillenbrand. Materials include correspondence, clippings, pamphlets, invitations, notes, and ephemera that illustrate the duties and events that populated his daily life. Several items relate to official state visits of Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy, Henry Kissinger, Lyndon Johnson, Ronald Reagan, Helmut Schmidt, and Gerald Ford. Also included in this sub-series are recruitment materials illustrating the events that brought Dr. Hillenbrand to the University of Georgia in 1982.
