Subseries B. Political Party Involvement includes correspondence and newspaper clippings about Campbell's campaign in the 1962 race for Georgia governor, his decision to switch from Democrat to Republican in 1968, and his subsequent involvement with the Republican Party. His party involvement included supporting Nixon's presidential campaigns, which was opposed by many of his constituents, participating in strategy for the Georgia Republican Party during campaign seasons, collecting information about presidential policies and about Georgia elections, and participating in Oconee County local politics.
