Series IV. Campaigns and Elections contains campaign records for state and national offices. This series dates from 1980 to 1995 and contains 9 linear feet of material. Subseries A. Campaign Files contains general political campaign files, strategic planning for statewide campaigns, and files on democratic opponents. Campaign files included are from Billy Lovett's race for Insurance Commissioner in 1990 and Bill Flaherty's race for Commissioner of Labor in 1992. Subseries B. Campaign Finances includes financial records related to specific campaigns, donor lists, and election disclosure reports. Subseries C. ORViS (Optimum Republican Voting Strength) contains the statistical analysis of election results of the ORViS program implemented by the Georgia Republican Party in 1987. The ORViS materials date from 1987 to 1994 and document election targeting for state congressional and senatorial districts as well as national elections.
