Series VII. Audiovisual Materials contains 574 individual items that date from 1976 to 2008. There are multiple audiovisual formats within the series including: VHS, DVD, Betacam, CDs, cassette tapes, digital audio tape and open-reel audio. The AV materials are arranged into five subseries. Subseries A. contains materials related to state and national campaigns and elections. Within this subseries is a substantial set of items that document the historic 2002 Gubernatorial election that saw Sonny Perdue elected as the first Republican Governor since Reconstruction. Subseries B. Events includes the Jefferson Jackson Dinner, a major Democratic Party of Georgia fundraiser, and AV documenting conventions and meetings. Subseries C. Georgia Politics and Subseries D. TV Programs and News Clips contains recorded AV from multiple sources and and include local news clips of state Democratic constitutional officers. Subseries D. includes state political programming like Lawmakers, the Georgia Gang, and the Georgia Week in Review. A substantial amount of the AV in this subseries was titled "Mark Taylor TV News" and contains news clips of the Lieutenant Governor from 1999-2002. Subseries E. contains miscellaneous AV.
