Series IV. Committees and Conventions is a combined series that reflects the use of the records by the party as convention materials were intermixed with committee files. Subseries A. Mixed Files are arranged chronologically and include state party convention proceedings, national convention materials related to the state party, voting records for counties and districts and state committee and state convention meetings. Records of the various committee and convention meetings were mixed with some administrative records from Marge Thurman's Chairmanship (1975-1982) and have been preserved in arrangement. Subseries B. 1988 Democratic National Convention- Atlanta contains the records of the state party as it was involved with the national Democratic convention which met in Atlanta in 1988. The materials are arranged in two sections. Convention Preparation and Working Files contains materials related to the planning of the convention and political materials related to the presidential nominees. The Candidacy and Pledge Files contain delegate selection plans and delegate vote tallies. Materials in this subseries date from 1987 to 1988.
