Scope and Content

The collection consists of two letters: dated Executive Department, Milledgeville, March 14, 1840, to "A. G. McNutt, Governor of Mississippi," signed "Charles J. McDonald," regarding the extradition of David Patton of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, a fugitive charged with murder; dated Executive Department, Milledgeville, October 30, 1845, to "B. Fitzpatrick, Governor of Alabama," signed "Charles J. McDonald," regarding authorizing the arrest of certain fugitives in that state.
