Collection Description

Scope and Content

The collection consists of papers of the Bogardus and Allgood families of New York and Georgia from 1800-1944. Consists mainly of correspondence of Henry S. Bogardus (1823-1836, with gaps); DeForrest Allgood (1888-1889) as president of the Trion Manufacturing (textile) Company in Trion, Chattooga County (Ga.); and letters to Andrew P. Allgood. Other correspondents include Susan Bogardus Farmer, Susan Allgood, and Susie M. Wright.
