Historical Note

Hugh Hodgson (1893-1969) was the founder and longtime head of the Department of Music at the University of Georgia.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of material commemorating the life of Hugh Hodgson including music compositions (including two copies of Mother Goose Melodies), programs of Hodgson's performances, newspaper clippings regarding his life and death, news releases, and a Hugh Hodgson printing block.
