Scope and Content

The collection consists of papers relating to Foster Blodgett from 1861, 1870-1871 and contains correspondence pertaining to the disputed election of Blodgett to the U.S. Senate in 1870 and charges of perjury when taking the test oath. Correspondents include Henry S. Fitch, Henry R. Jackson, O.A. Lochrane, H.K. McKay, and William K. Stewart. It also includes one photograph of Blodgett in military uniform in 1861.
