J.N. Nash served in Company A of the 38th Georgia Infantry Regiment, he was wounded in 1863 and convelesced in Atlanta, Georgia.

This collection contains one letter to his Army unit reporting on his furlough status due to his injuries. He addresses his friends and commander regarding his being reported absent without leave erroneously.
