Historical Note

James Longstreet Sibley Jennings, Jr. (1941-2016) was an architect who primarily worked in the Washington, DC area. He was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, attended Georgia Military College (1959) and Georgia Tech (1964), becoming an award winning architect specializing in historic restoration projects.

Josephine Sibley Couper (1867-1957) was an American artist concentrating on family and Southern culture.

Scope and Content

This collection contains architectural drawings, project notes and slides regarding the work of James Longstreet Sibley Jennings, Jr. It also features correspondence, family history, photographs, and collected items regarding Josephine Sibley Couper, who was an artist.
