Collection Description

Historical Note

George Bright was tried and aquitted for the 1958 bombing of an Atlanta synagogue, The Hebrew Benevolent Congregation. This event, known as the Temple Bombing, and the city's peaceful reaction to it was considered significant in the ongoing Civil Rights Movement.

Scope and Content

This collection contains correspondence, newspapers, pamphlets, and other printed material gathered by Mr. Bright related to topics of anti Semitism, racism, and Communism, as well as other general topics of white supremacy.
