Historical Note
School girl Margaret Caruthers Rupperberg kept an autograph book in the early 1940s. Her father was a Delta pilot who often managed to get autographs from famous people, such as Bob Hope, who were on his flights. Margaret also attended the Atlanta Gone With the Wind premiere and got autographs from some of the actors who appeared in that film.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of an autograph book from 1940-1942 that belonged to Margaret Caruthers Ruppersburg. The book contains a number of signatures from famous people including Mary Martin, Bob Hope and Laurence Olivier. There are also autographs from some of the actors who appeared in Gone With the Wind. These autographs are from Evelyn Keyes, Ona Munson and Ann Rutherford.
