Historical Note

Worth McDougald (d. 2007), a native of Statesboro, Ga., was a communications officer in the Navy during World War II. He served as director of the George Foster Peabody Awards from 1963 to 1991.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of a scrapbook and photographs documenting WSB Radio from 1922 to 1925 and a collection of photographs taken in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
