Thomas Hamilton Dearing, son of Albin P. and Eugenia Hamilton Dearing, operated a general store in Athens, Georgia.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of the ledger of T. H. Dearing from 1886-1889. Entries include the date, customer's name, items purchased, and amount charged. Items purchased include food, tobacco, clothing, and household goods. Names of Athenians listed in the ledger include Brumby, Dearing, Nicholson, Carlton, Lyndon and Holman.
