Mark Harris (1922-2007) was an author and an educator born in New York. His works include The Southpaw, Bang the Drum Slowly, and several other novels as well as the autobiographical work on which this collection is based, Best Father Ever Invented.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of one handwritten letter on University of Pittsburgh letterhead: dated October 28, 1975, "Dear Arthur Mizener," signed "Mark Harris," regarding page-proofs Harris is sending.
