Vincent Godfrey Burns (b. 1893) was an author, lecturer, and poet laureate of Maryland.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of the papers of Vincent Godfrey Burns from 1937-1969 and includes manuscripts of essays, poems, and articles by Burns, as well as printed copies of his poems. Also included are brochures, leaflets, programs, clippings concerning Burns' activities, and photocopies of letters Burns wrote to the Washington Post and Presidents Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.
