Collection Description

Historical Note

Charles Douville Coburn (1877-1961), Georgia-born stage and screen actor, manager, director, and producer. Coburn founded the Mohawk Drama Festival in 1935 at Union College in Schenectady, New York. The festival was one of the first cooperative ventures of university and professional theater.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of two items signed by Charles Coburn: agreement executed May 12, 1941, between RKC Radio Pictures, Inc. and Charles Coburn to perform in the motion picture "Unexpected Uncle"; questionnaire to be answered by all employees regarding citizenship and residency in other countries.
