Scope and Content
The collection consists of two letters (photocopies) written in 1862 and 1863, between D.W. Phillips and his wife regarding conditions of the war. A third letter (photocopy) dated June 1, 1899, addressed to "Brother, sister, and family," signed "Sarah C. Cooper," discusses family affairs.
