Historical Note

Charles E. Boynton was a partner in the Atlanta mercantile firm of Chamberlin, Boynton and Company (later to become a fixture in the Atlanta business community as Chamberlin-Johnson).

Scope and Content

The collection consists of two letters written by Charles E. Boynton, in response to orders placed by Mrs. John McIntosh Kell. Boynton answers her inquiries chiefly pertain to cloth samples, styles and notions.
