Historical Note

Top Secret Affair, originally titled "Melville Goodwin, USA," was a 1956 product of Warner Brothers' United States Pictures, Inc. Produced by Martin Rackin and starring Susan Hayward (in private life Mrs. Eaton Chalkley of Carrollton, Georgia) and Kirk Douglas, the motion picture was based on characters from John P. Marquand's Melville Goodwin, USA. The screenplay was written by Roland Kibbee and Allan Scott.

Scope and Content

Revised final script of the movie, dated 16 February, 1956, with manuscript note adding "to 11/10/56." Changes and dates of changes are included in the typescript. Accompanying the script are two still publicity photographs.
