Historical Note

The University of Georgia's Office of Research encourages and supports innovative interdisciplinary research, scholarship and creative activities that contribute to the physical, emotional and economic well-being of the people of Georgia, the nation and the world. Through partnerships and collaborations, they seek to share knowledge, increase innovation and deliver the products of their research to the marketplace. The Office of Research has direct administrative relationships with several University of Georgia centers, institutes, programs, and initiatives.

Scope and Content

This collection is comprised of administrative files from the University of Georgia's Office of Research. The majority of these files contain correspondence belonging to Vice Presidents of Research, Joe Key and Gordhan Patel. Joe Key served as Vice President of Research from 1986-2000. Gordhan Patel served as Vice President of Research from 2001-2005.
