Biographical/historical note
The James O. Wheeler Lecture Series is an annual event in which experts in the field of Urban Geography make presentations at UGA. The award is named after the late James O. Wheeler, a distinquished member of the Department of Geography, who specialized in Urban Geography.
Scope and Content
A plaque that was presented to Professor Wheeler by the UGA Department of Geography. It reads, "James O. Wheeler, in recognition of his contributions in the Field of Urban Geography, on the occasion of the Inaugural Lecture in the James O. Wheeler Annual Lecture Series in Urban Geography, February 9, 2007."
