The collection consists of Logan Bleckley's discharge for service of the Confederate States of America, December 3, 1861; exemption from Conscript Act, December 15, 1862; President's Warrant of Pardon, 1865, certified 1866; and a copy of an address Bleckley delivered before the Alumni Society of the University of Georgia, July 20, 1886. The oversized folder contains Bleckley's appointment as Solicitor General of Coweta Circuit, November 12, 1853; license as member of Bar of Supreme Court of Georgia, January 12, 1855; appointment as Reporter of the Supreme Court of Georgia; appointment as Judge of Supreme Court of Georgia, January 15, 1876; and appointment as Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Georgia, January 17, 1887.
