Fred Morris (1873-1953) of Marietta, Georgia, received his degree in law from the University of Georgia in 1896, where he excelled in football, baseball and track. He practiced law, served in the U.S. Army in World War I, and was elected as a State Representative and State Senator. He married Kathryn Dorsey (1873-1928) in 1896 and they had a son Fred Morris Jr. (1899-1952). Fred Morris Jr. married Evelyn Cheney and they had a daughter Kathryn Morris Hardy (b. 1942).
