Historical Note

William Humphrey Foy III (1952-2015) was born in Eufaula, Alabama next hit and studied art at The University of Georgia (1974) and was an artist, collector, and antiques dealer. His parents were Humphrey and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Foy, and sister was Mary Delia Foy Estes (James).

Admiral Thomas Moorer was a U.S. Navy aviator during WWII, and rose through the ranks to finally serve as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1970 to 1974.

Scope and Content

This collection contains family history and photographs, scrapbooks and photo albums, land records, and ephemera collected by William H. Foy III.
