Ulrich B. Phillips was a history professor in Madison, Wisconsin.
The collection consists of three letters from Ulrich Bonnell Phillips to Dr. Robert Preston Brooks (University of Georgia faculty). In his first letter, dated March, 25, 1907, Phillips suggests sources of American history, England during the colonial period, and "the colonies of South Carolina, Georgia, Barbados and Jamaica as a group." Letters dated October 5, 1907 and February 11, 1908 are more personal in nature. Phillips responds to questions Brooks asked in previous letters, and suggests sources of Georgia history, their locations and use.
