Scope and Content
The collection consists of a Diary for 1866 bearing the name "Albert W. Johnson, Station D, New York, 1867," containing notes dating 1887-1889. The notebook contains numerous photographic formulas including those for "coppering" a hard image plate, a recipe to make "albumen plates," and the formula for "printing silver bath for Sarony's aluminizing paper ..."
