John Abbot (1751-1840) was a naturalist and artist. He collected, observed, and drew insects, arachnids, and birds. He was a native of England, moved to America in 1773 and Georgia in 1776.

The collection consists of three watercolor drawings, undated, by John Abbot. The drawings are "Purple Grakle," "Green Flycatcher," and "Crested Merganser."
