Abstract: The collection consists of papers of George W. Radimersky from 1927-1987. The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, materials pertaining to the management of farm land in Monroe, South Dakota (1951-1957), materials documenting Radimersky's involvement with the Heidelberg University project (1969-1987), speeches, lectures, and photographs. The correspondence includes letters between Radimersky, his wife Ruth H. Radimersky, and family and friends documenting life in the United States as an immigrant working on farms in South Dakota (1923-1925), life in Germany between the two world wars and in post World War II Germany, and Radimersky's academic career. The manuscripts include studies and essays on medieval and modern German literature, poetry, and Radimersky's memoirs. |
