Hampton, incorporated in 1872, was named in honor of Confederate general Wade Hampton, grandson and namesake of a major general who fought during the War of 1812. The first Atlanta Pop Festival was held in Hampton in 1969, and is now home to the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Bethlehem is in Barrow County, located between Atlanta and Athens, Georgia.
The collection consists of church schedules for the communities of Hampton and Bethlehem, Georgia. The communities were surveyed by J. W. Morgan.
