Abstract: The collection consists of papers of Elizabeth Kytle from 1957-1985. The papers include the original manuscript and galley proofs of WILLIE MAE, as well as correspondence, clippings, and printed materials pertaining to Kytle's writing career and particularly to the publication of WILLIE MAE. The correspondence contains letters between Kytle and her publisher Alfred Knopf, correspondence between Kytle and Willie Mae Wright, and letters from family, friends, and would-be writers.
