Scope and ContentThe collection consists of account books of the Persons Brothers general store in Talbotton, Georgia from 1886-1933 (with some gaps). Includes account ledgers and cash books which document the sale of dry goods, clothing, hardware, and wagons. The collection also includes two account books of the Talbotton Railroad Company, owned and operated by the Persons family, which ran from Talbotton to Paschal.
