Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of two items: a journal entitled "Plan. Experience of Farming of N. J. Newsom, 1885," pertaining to labor, fertilizer, fencing, mules, wages, and equipment involved in farming; deed signed in Washington County, Georgia, stating Joeday Newsom leaves two lots of "negroes" to his children, dated 1838. The reverse side contains valuation of the two lots of "negro slaves," and is dated 1843.
