William Orten "Ort" Carlton (1949-2023) was a legendary local personality, a collector of fliers, posters, and records, a Flagpole Magazine columnist, and a music and beer aficionado from Athens, Georgia. His eclectic personality, photographic memory, and approachability made him memorable to everyone he met.

Scope and Content

This collection contains fliers and posters from Athens area music, art, theater, and festivals, as well as a large variety of sales, events, and protests. Also included are correspondence, writing, and ephemera.
