Athens Pride and Queer Collective Collection
Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThis collection contains one Progress Pride flag, which was flown over Athens-Clarke County City Hall in June of 2022 for Pride month. This was the first time the flag was flown by the unified government in city history. The collection also contains two rainbow ribbons, which were used to celebrate the installation and dedication of the Rainbow Crosswalk in Downtown Athens, Georgia, on National Coming Out Day in October 2022. In addition to the flag and ribbons, there is a plaque and information placard.
