Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteFrank and Quenelle Sheffield lived in Americus, Georgia and entertained a group of British pilot cadets who trained at Souther Field with the U.S. Army Air Corps there in 1941. The Sheffields continued to correspond with the pilots and their families after the airmen left for the war in Europe.
