Historical Note

Foxfire is based on the Foxfire book series from North Georgia. Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn and Keith Carradine starred in the 1982 Broadway production.

Scope and Content

Collection includes drafts of Susan Cooper Cronyn's play Foxfire as well as research for the play, handwritten revisions, feedback from friends and peers, and published reviews. Foxfire focuses on the struggle to keep Appalachian culture and traditions alive.
