She was born on April 4, 1940, in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of correspondence, fan mail, in-house publication materials, photographs, galley copies, advance copies, articles, reviews and posters related to the Mayes' publications. Also included are Under the Tuscan Sun movie materials (such as media kits, posters, CDs, screenplays) and Mayes' teaching materials from San Francisco State University. Administrative InformationConditions Governing AccessThough the collection is open for research, the audiovisual recordings do not have reference copies; however, reference copies can be made available upon request. Availability is dependent upon the format and condition of the recordings.
