Mongolian Manuscript
Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteFrom the 1800s to 1911, the Qing Dynasty controlled Mongolia. The country was divided into feudal and ecclesiastical fiefdoms. These fiefdoms' leaders increasingly became less interested in the people and more in their own wealth. As more Chinese trade flushed the country, and taxes switched from animals to silver, the general population sank into poverty. Scope and ContentNot much is known about this manuscript.
